Program Manager Requirements
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in program leadership within behavioral health, community health, or social service settings, with a solid understanding of Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports. Applicants should be skilled in overseeing service delivery across multiple rural counties—such as Kern, Inyo, Mono, and Tulare—including coordinating staff, managing outreach logistics, monitoring quality, and ensuring compliance with DHCS, Medi-Cal, and organizational standards. Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills are essential. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and a safe driving record are required due to extensive regional travel. Experience working in rural or frontier communities, and lived experience relevant to the populations served, are highly valued. Candidates must be able to navigate complex systems, support multidisciplinary teams, and maintain professional liability coverage if their discipline requires it.
